Tiger Tiger Burning Bright

After a very long time, I had an interesting dream last night..many thanks to work pressure.

There is a street running parallel to my home and it is the early hours of the day, cloudy as well. I spot a tiger on the street. There are people walking, doing their chores, taking their dogs for a walk, an 80+ woman jogging , but nobody seems to be aware of the tiger.

It is my dream , so obviously I am always a superhero in it, I put my cape on and run to the street to rescue my people. But I cannot go running in the street, shouting “Tiger! Tiger!”. That might upset the tiger,right?

So what I do is, like RajniKanth who just had half a kilo of walnut brownie ( pumped with adrenaline and high on sugar, deadly combo), I jump from roof to roof, sunshade to sun shade, checking the doors of all the houses to see if it is locked, if people are safe inside, and at the same time, I am sending whatsapp viral tiger messages to my street’s whatsapp group “Energetic citizens of  eighth street “.

I come across a small house which has a single door which is UNLOCKED. Oh no, poor family might get attacked. Quickly I go inside and see a woman clad in saree doing some chore. I ask her to lock the door from inside as there is a tiger on loose. She gives a very blank expression which I consider as poor woman in shock. She slowly walks to the door. But instead of locking it from inside, she goes out and locks the door on the outside …in..slow..motion .

Baffled, I stand there to understand whats going on. My stomach grumbles and I realize how hungry I am. I hear a noise sounding very very similar to my stomach’s growl. I turn my head slowly towards the source of the sound and there it stands The TIGER. I am standing in a room, locked from outside, hungry, with a tiger which may or may not be hungry at that point.

My alarm blares and I woke up with a start. 5 A.M it shows!!

Though I am little relieved that it was just a dream , I am highly disappointed with the cliffhanger ending. This world will never get to know WHO ATE WHOM !
